Job Highlights
Reporting into the Site Manager and working closely with the Manufacturing Management Team (MMT), the
HSEQ Manager
will be the lead contact for site, group and contractors to ensure compliance of all aspects of Health, Safety, Environmental, Security and Quality systems for the Trafford Park and Deeside facilities.
Key Responsibilities:nManage and report HSEQ metrics and use them to drive improvement.nHelp set overall HSEQ strategy and establish suitable targets and objectives for the facility.nDevelop and follow-up Improvement Plans to achieve HSEQ goals.nEnsure that Company personnel are adequately trained with respect to HSEQ matters.nMaintain and identify HSEQ training needs, highlighting areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by legislation, Approved Codes of Practice or HSE guidance.nOversee and plan the internal and external audit programmes.nDevelop, maintain and implement the Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensure all policies and procedures are up to date, compliant with all applicable laws and regulations and aligned to LXS corporate requirements and guidelines.nEnsure continued ISO certifications for ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) to the current scope and any future standards deemed necessary by the Company, for example, ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) and 50001 (Energy)and any other standards that become required.nEnsure that the Company is proactive, up to date and complies with all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) legislation.nCompliance with all license, consents and environmental permitting requirements, including any variations, renewals and modifications.nManage COMAH compliance and oversee the Process Safety Management (PSM) programme.nBe the principal point of contact with the regulatory authorities (including the Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, and Fire Service).nProvides leadership and acts as a figurehead on all HSEQ matters.
RequirementsnExperience in a similar role as a HSEQ Manager (10yrs+)nExperience in chemical manufacturing (COMAH facility) is essential.nThorough knowledge of EHSS laws, regulations, practices and standards.nKnowledge of IMS – principles, implementation and auditing of ISO 14001 and 9001.nStrong managerial, technical and interpersonal and communication skills.nAbility to manage and organise own workload with minimal supervision.nAbility to build effective working relationships and work as part of a team.nFact-based analysis and decision-making.nGood basic working IT knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional.nOperational leadership experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.nNEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent (minimum)..
