Job Description:  
As a Shuttering Carpenter Operative at Tag Constructions, you will play a crucial role in the successful completion of construction projects. We are seeking an experienced individual who is proficient in constructing the framework used to create concrete structures, such as foundations, walls, columns, and beams, with the ability to perform a variety of tasks efficiently and safely. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and advancement within our organization. 
 
Responsibilities: 
- Constructing formwork or shuttering using wood, metal, or other materials based on project specifications.
- Accurately measuring and cutting materials to the required dimensions.
- Assembling, aligning, and securing formwork using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Assisting with the placement and pouring of concrete into the formwork.
- Ensuring the formwork is properly braced and supported to withstand the pressure exerted by the concrete. 
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Understanding and following project plans and specifications to ensure accurate formwork  construction. 
- Inspecting formwork for quality and accuracy to ensure it meets project requirements and  specifications.
- Identifying and addressing any defects or issues in the formwork construction.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures on construction sites. 
- Collaborating with other members of the construction team, such as concrete finishers, carpenters, and site supervisors, to ensure efficient project completion.
 
Requirements: 
- CSCS Blue Groundworker 
- Proven experience in concrete operations and groundworks within the construction industry. 
- Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques. 
- Proficiency in operating concrete tools and equipment. 
- Strong understanding of groundworks principles, including excavation and drainage. 
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. 
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills. 
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments. 
- Proven experience as a shuttering carpenter or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials used in formwork construction.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and assemble formwork to precise specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Certification or training in carpentry or a related field may be preferred.
