We are looking for a talented Mechanical Draftsperson to join our Hardware Domain as a contractor. You will create detailed mechanical drawings for a variety of major UK projects, applying your expertise in mechanical drafting.
The Role:
So, what will you be doing as a Mechanical Draughtsperson?
Produce detailed and accurate mechanical drawings for hardware projects using industry-standard CAD tools.
Work with engineering teams to convert concepts into comprehensive technical drawings, implementing changes according to our company change process.
Analyze and optimize mechanical designs for functionality, manufacturability, and efficiency.
Generate precise documentation to support manufacturing, ensuring a smooth transition from concept to production.
Contribute to design reviews, offering valuable insights to enhance the quality and efficiency of mechanical drawings.
Select appropriate materials and finishes, considering durability, cost, and project requirements.
Collaborate effectively within a team environment, contributing to the success of various hardware projects.
Embrace a range of mechanical drafting tasks, demonstrating your adaptability and versatility.
Participate in internal and external meetings, providing expertise to guide project direction.
Maintain organized documentation following local operating procedures, implementing changes through our company change process.What are we looking for in our next Mechanical Draughtsperson?
Hold a minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience in creating detailed mechanical drawings with a strong attention to detail and technical proficiency.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical drafting.
Proficiency in CAD software for creating accurate and comprehensive drawings.
Familiarity with design reviews and ability to offer valuable insights to improve drawings.
Experience in designing mechanical components for diverse applications, showcasing versatility.
