As part of our ongoing growth, TECOSIM is looking to expand our dynamic Engineering Team in the United Kingdom. Our team is at the forefront of assisting numerous European and American automotive OEMs, as well as Tier 1 suppliers, on a variety of projects. Our work ranges from exclusive hypercars to high-volume passenger and commercial vehicles destined for global markets.

Position Description


  • Perform complex design analysis using Computer Aided Engineering software
  • Understand customer requirements and expectations for Occupant and Restraints systems and improved product designs.
  • Experience with Occupant/Restraints development in a fast changing environment
  • Develop pro-active engineering solutions.
  • Implement engineering changes as required.
  • Develop alternative design solutions or quick engineering solutions for complex problems.
  • Maintain records of all activities and results in CAE project database.
  • Participate in design review meetings to provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Ensure that all work carried out is in compliance with company design, safety, quality, environmental compliance and procedural standards.
  • Communicate with team members and customers on all project-related matters.
  • Provide timely design guidance and support to the team to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist management in establishing and updating project plans and priorities.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organisation.


Skills required



  • Solvers: LS-Dyna, Abaqus (not mandatory)
  • Pre-Processors: ANSA, Primer (advantage)
  • Post-Processors: ANIMATOR, META, Hypergraph, HyperView
  • Operating Systems: Linux (basic), Windows
  • Good communication skills. Detail oriented.
  • Medium knowledge of MS office tools (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) in order to provide written reports summarising tasks.
  • Dynamic team player as well as self-sufficient and proactive.
  • Fluency in English


Education/Experience required


  • Technical background (Graduate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree).
  • Secure knowledge of the effects of restraint systems, load cases and requirements worldwide, dummy positioning, seating, fastening belts
  • Must be able to produce results with no guidance.
  • A creative attitude with an ability to understand and meet regulatory and other agreed design requirements and standards is essential.
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of occupant safety
  • Experience and skill in communicating with customers
  • Ability to work in a team, flexibility and commitment
