Year 6 Teacher Responsibilities

As a Year 6 teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environmentnTeaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknessesnKeeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents

Year 6 Teacher Requirements

A qualified teacher status (QTS), PGCE or equivalentnExperience in teaching Year 6 students and preparing them for SATs examsnA proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent academic resultsnA strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment methodologiesnExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsnPatience, resilience, and a passion for teachingnA willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues
