Job Description:
Mech Electrics are seeking highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Project Engineers to join several of our clients, working on a variety of high-profile Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) projects throughout the UK. Our clients are all leading companies in the M&E sector, known for their innovative approaches and commitment to excellence. Successful candidates will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring all objectives are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion.
Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Perform site inspections and ensure all work complies with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the project team.
Prepare and present project reports, including progress updates and financial performance.
Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
Implement and monitor quality assurance and control procedures.
Provide technical guidance and support to team members and subcontractors.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to on-site.
Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and innovation within the project scope.
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree Qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical project engineering, preferably within the M&E sector.
Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and building services methods.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
Proficient in project management software
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
