What you’ll be doing as a Construction EngineernSupporting essential design and delivery reviews, identifying risks and issues, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.nCarry out health and safety audits to ensure relevant issues are corrected.nFocussed on the construction phase of projects, assessing and reporting project progress, acting to rectify issues, and taking the lead on the escalation process if necessary. Also, ensure all non-conformance is identified and corrected.nManaging identification and resolution of snags and after Take Over liaising with Operators and contractors to handle the defects and aftercare process’ and performance testing.nMonitored, agreed on, and approved Takeover tests with the project team.nEnsure that the required project documentation meets our specifications and approve information for taking over.nWorking as an active member of one or more project teams with one or more of our contractors.nHybrid – Maple Lodge or Hampton Coal Wharf - Hybrid.nAs part of this role, you will be required to be on site 3-4 days a week, 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.nThe successful candidate must drive; this role will come with a car allowance.

What you should bring to the rolenHave an HNC or above in an appropriate engineering subject or background in a similar role.nKnowledge of health and safety on construction sites or holding of SMSTS qualification; this can be offered as part of the role if not as a current holder.nUnderstand design, construction, and operations within industries like the water sector.nHave a background in project delivery within the construction sector.nBe confident in communicating with various levels of stakeholders.nFoster a positive Health and safety culture within the team and contractors, ensuring we assert all environmental and Health and safety statutory obligations.
