Pipe Fitter

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Blue CSCS Card and at least 5 years of checkable employment history. This role involves working on various construction and maintenance projects, including those requiring an airside pass. The Pipefitter will be responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical piping systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation: Install pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures according to specifications and blueprints.

Fabrication: Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending machines.

Maintenance and Repair: Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations.

Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the piping systems.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in piping systems to ensure efficient operation.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other construction professionals, including engineers, architects, and contractors.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent.
Requirements:
CSCS Card: Must have a valid Blue CSCS Card.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of verifiable employment history 

Skills: Proficiency in the use of pipefitting tools and equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, and ability to work from blueprints and specifications.

Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various environments.

Safety Knowledge: Thorough understanding of safety protocols and best practices in the construction industry.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.

Airside Pass Eligibility: Must meet the criteria for obtaining an airside pass, including a thorough background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: Additional certifications in welding, plumbing, or other relevant areas.

Advanced Skills: Experience with advanced pipefitting techniques and technologies.

Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex piping systems and implement effective solutions
