Safeguarding Lead

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safeguarding Quality Lead to join our team at JAYCO Recruitment. The Safeguarding Quality Lead will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of safeguarding within our care and nursing agency to ensure the protection and well-being of our client’s residents.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor safeguarding policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Provide safeguarding training and support to staff members at all levels
- Conduct safeguarding investigations and ensure appropriate actions are taken
- Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to address safeguarding concerns effectively
- Regularly review and update safeguarding practices to maintain high-quality standards
- Check medication competencies
- Spot check staff whilst on shift
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, nursing, or a related field (required)
- Previous experience working in safeguarding or a similar role within the healthcare sector
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
