Career Teachers are looking for experienced Health Care Assistants for a dedicated Specialist School.
Starting as soon as possible, this is a great opportunity for a proactive and positive Health Care Assistant/Support Worker with personal care and behavioural management experience to join the team at this Specialist school in Stratford.
This school offers specialist provision for students ages 5-19 years with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties, including sensory impairments and medical conditions.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to also work under the guidance of SEN trained staff, undertaking support programmes that enable access to learning for all pupils in an inclusive and progressive environment.
Main Duties
Attend to the personal needs of pupils and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first-aid and welfare matters.
Supervise and provide support to pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning activities during lunchtime.
Support pupils to understand instructions, and in respect of local and national learning strategies such as literacy and numeracy.
Work alongside other teaching and support staff to ensure a safe and productive work environment is maintained.
Be responsible for ensuring school policies are upheld including behaviour policies.
