Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the UK's leading heart and lung hospital, delivering care to more than 50,000 patients a year in its new state-of-the-art hospital in Cambridge. It also offers emergency heart attack treatment, sleep centre care and is one of just five centres nationally for those in severe respiratory failure.
Based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus the largest centre of medical research and health science in Europe the Trust is at the heart of treatments of the future. Royal Papworth became the first hospital trust in the country to be rated outstanding in all five areas assessed by the Care Quality Commission - a rating it still holds today. A degree or equivalent qualification in relevant supply chain discipline or equivalent extensive knowledge and understanding gained through supply chain experience at a senior level.
Specialist knowledge acquired through post-graduate courses and experience to masters equivalent level plus in-depth managerial, financial, and strategic knowledge
In depth specialist knowledge and understanding of logistics and supply chain management practice at the strategic and operational levels, in a variety of sectors.
MSP, Prince 2 or other recognised programme or project management qualification.
Evidence of success and achievement in various strategic, senior roles.
Previous experience of leading and managing a supply chain function within a large and complex organisation, including budget responsibility.
Knowledge and understanding of the use and development of supply chain information management systems.
Experience in managing performance review, promotion readiness and performance concern processes.
Previously worked in an NHS, Public or Private Sector supply chain management environment.
Understanding of the NHS financial / business models, processes, and markets.
Experience and knowledge of innovative supply chain practices from a variety of industries and adapt them to the public sector context.
Demonstrated success in optimising team performance, fostering collaboration, and ensuring a seamless integration process while achieving desired outcomes.
Willing to work flexible hours, from time to time, to meet the needs of the role and service
