We are seeking a nurturing TA to join one of our most flourishing mainstream schools in south east London. The role would require you to support various pupils within a primary school setting. Some of the pupils have special education needs (i.e ASD ADHD or PMLD). Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full time
School Type: Primary
Location: South East London
Rate: £95-105
Ideal Candidate:
Assisting in the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies.
SLD/ASD/PMLD & Complex needs experience preferably.
Supervising and supporting a classroom in a group setting.
Supporting with behaviour management.
Undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals.
Establishing good relationships with children, acting as a role model.
Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children, supporting difference and ensuring that all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.Requirements:
Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours.
Safeguarding experience.
