About the role
As an AAT Lecturer in Accountancy, you will play a crucial role in leading a programme of study, preparing lessons, managing classrooms, and developing the curriculum. You will be responsible for using appropriate assessment methods, achieving learning and teaching goals, and recording learner activity. Your role will also involve engaging in marketing activities to promote the programme.

Day-to-Day Requirements
* Efficiently manage administrative duties such as admissions, timetabling, examinations, and quality assurance.
* Report on key performance indicators and engage in the analysis of attendance, retention, and achievement data.
* Undertake curriculum development, prepare learning materials, and mark student assignments.
* Deliver formal scheduled teaching, blended learning, and tutorials, ensuring student progression.
* Use appropriate assessment methods to inform planning and provide student guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
* Maintain student records and ensure all learners receive the support they need.
* Work effectively with external stakeholders to plan and deliver College provision and support student work experience.
* Participate in team meetings, quality assurance systems, and curriculum development initiatives.
* Recruit and enrol students onto relevant programmes and meet enrolment targets.
* Provide pre and on-course guidance to support learners through to successful completion and progression.
* Plan and use innovative and creative teaching and learning techniques, including new and emerging technologies.
* Keep up to date with academic/vocational subjects and maintain links with industry.
* Monitor student absences and behaviour, taking appropriate action as required.
* Participate in promotional activities such as Open Days and Information Events.
Essential Criteria
* Relevant Accountancy qualification at Level 3 or above.
* Relevant teaching qualification.
* Minimum Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy.
* Relevant subject expertise and industry experience.
* Experience of working in a FE/HE environment.
* Strong commitment to quality assurance and enhancement.
* Excellent organisation, analytical, and communication skills.
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and diversity.
