We are not looking for candidates who are already qualified teachers and/or assessors. We will provide the necessary courses and training to support you in this role. We seek individuals with the right personal attributes to join our future staff team and help advance our business in the years to come.


Salary and Benefits


  • Qualified Tutor/Assessor : £27.5k-£35k per annum, based on experience
  • Trainee Tutor/Assessor : £20k-£25k on commencement, rising when qualified and experienced
  • Home-based with travel

The Role


As a Tutor/Assessor, you will manage a caseload of Apprenticeship learners, stand-alone diploma courses, and short AEB funded courses to help learners achieve their Health and Social Care qualifications at Levels 2 and 3, with potential progression to Levels 4 and 5 based on experience and competency.

You will primarily conduct face-to-face visits with some remote video calls to deliver “person-centred learning” to every learner, every 4-weeks. You will manage your own diary to achieve clear KPIs.

During your probationary period, you will receive maximum support with a person-centred training program tailored to your educational and developmental needs, supported by a reduced caseload.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Teaching and assessing learners every 4-weeks, individually and in small groups (2-12 learners)
  • Delivering teaching and learning sessions aligned with “person-centred learning” principles
  • Submitting learner evidence in line with our electronic portfolio processes
  • Conducting observations of learner practice in the workplace
  • Supporting learners to achieve their maths and English Functional Skills
  • Assisting learners in successfully passing End Point Assessment

Requirements


  • Minimum 3 years of current experience in the Adult Health & Social Care sector in Elder Care and/or Learning Disabilities, at a Carer or Senior Carer level, or above
  • Health and social care qualification at Level 3 or above
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to work towards and gain a teaching qualification at Level 3 or above
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to work towards and gain a TAQA assessing qualification at Level 3
  • Good English and maths skills, preferably to GCSE level, or willingness to work towards and gain English and maths qualifications at Level 2 or above
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Good IT skills and ability to use Microsoft packages


Additional Information


You must have your own transport, a broadband connection at home, and car insurance covered by business use. All business mileage and expenses are covered by the company.
