Do you want to support young people (16+) who are experiencing homelessness in Wales?
How about working for a charity that puts people at the heart of everything they do?
We are searching for a small team of Support Assistants, based in the Swansea area, to work within an amazing project that provides safe, secure accommodation for young people.
What's does it look like?
Full time 38.5 hours per week
Permanent contract
A mixture of days and waking nights
Rotating shift pattern on a 16 week rolling rota
Salary of £22,958
Employee wellbeing programme
Enhanced holiday and other leave entitlements
What's the job?
Supporting young people between 16 and 25
Working with individuals who have experienced homelessness
Understanding trauma and integrating trauma informed practice in to your work
Providing reliable advice and guidance
Following the safeguarding and health & safety policies
Working with other services (multi-agency working)
Covering a mixed rota of days and waking nights
What do we need?
Someone with a real passion for helping others
A solid understanding of the causes of youth homelessness
Compassion, understanding and resilience
Driver with a vehicle would be highly desirable
A DBS on the update service - Or willing to carry out a new DBS
Someone who is willing and able to work days and nights
Flexibility around shifts and assisting when needed
These roles are project based (in one location) in the Swansea area. Support Workers and Support Assistants from other sectors are welcome to apply.
