Job Description: Corporate Immigration Paralegal

Location: Manchester

Job Type: (Full-Time)


Introduction: Pearson Locke Law is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Immigration Paralegal to support our legal team in managing complex immigration matters in accordance with UK immigration laws. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and management of a range of applications, from Tier 2 visas to permanent residency applications, ensuring compliance and facilitating the smooth onboarding of international talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, file, and manage applications for UK visas such as Tier 2, Tier 5, and other relevant immigration routes.
  • Liaise with corporate clients to collect necessary documents and information for visa applications and ensure timely submissions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files for all immigration matters, tracking progress and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Stay informed of changes in UK immigration law and practices and communicate relevant updates to clients and team members.
  • Assist in the coordination of immigration compliance audits and ensure that all corporate documentation meets current legal standards.
  • Support attorneys in case preparation for appeals or any legal challenges related to immigration decisions.
  • Handle correspondence with the Home Office, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines.

Requirements:

  • LLB Graduate
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a paralegal in UK immigration law, with a strong understanding of the points-based system and other immigration routes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in using legal case management software and standard office software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Sponsor Licence applications and compliance.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities.
  • Legal practice course (LPC) qualification or relevant legal certifications.
