A great opportunity for a commercial technology lawyer looking for a Head of Legal role with a secure, growing and reputable company.


Hi this is Mila Read from Found Legal, a specialist recruitment agency where we focus on hiring in-house technology lawyers.


My client is a UK headquartered global B2B Tech company (ca. 300 employees). They are looking to hire Head of Legal in London to report to CEO. The job holder will be part of the company's Leadership Team.


Responsibilities include:


  • Work directly with the C-Level and Senior Leadership team (all based based in London) and advise on a range of matters including strategic initiatives.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements for professional services and software solutions.
  • Leading negotiations with high-profile clients including Global Fortune 100 companies.
  • Work closely with software development technical leaders and advise on client projects, including in the development of AI products, to clients in regulated industries such as finance and healthcare.
  • Maintain an internal compliance program.
  • Manage a network of external counsel to complement when needed
  • Deal with transactions across different geographies, including the US, UK, Europe and Latin America.


There are no direct reports currently. There are two other legal team members in Americas (peer level).


The business has already had a very competent in-house lawyer, so the core legal and compliance structures are well established and all of the business functions are used to working with an in-house lawyer.

It is a well established business with household names as clients, so it is a stable and secure environment to grow your skills in.

The role is 75% focused on commercial tech contracts with company’s clients, and the rest 25% is generalist matters = an opportunity to develop new areas of expertise.

  • Experience supporting a B2B Technology company as a commercial lawyer
  • At least 7 years of experience as a commercial lawyer
