As we expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled and motivated, experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team.

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our telecommunications business. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in accounting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance within the telecom industry. The Senior Accountant will ensure accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:nOversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.nPrepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP and company policies.nConduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.nAnalyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.nDevelop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.nManage and coordinate audits, both internal and external, ensuring timely and accurate completion.nMonitor and ensure compliance with telecommunications regulatory requirements and reporting standards.nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and optimise financial performance.nAssist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.nIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications:nBA in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.nMinimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role within the telecommunications industry.nStrong knowledge of UK GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements specific to the telecom sector.nProficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills.nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.nHigh attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:nExperience with telecom-specific financial systems and software.nKnowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and telecommunications regulatory compliance.nMA in Finance or Accounting.
