Responsibilities: As a Social Worker within our SASH Team, you will be responsible for:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of adolescents aged 11 to 17 who are at risk of family breakdown, exploitation, gang involvement, or homelessness.
Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with adolescents, their families, and other professionals.
Proactively safeguarding adolescents at risk of exploitation, abuse, or involvement in criminal activities.
Coordinating and facilitating support services to enhance the wellbeing and resilience of adolescents and their families.
Collaborating with partner agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to safeguarding and supporting adolescents at risk.
Providing tailored support to adolescents involved in the youth justice system, with a focus on preventing offending, rehabilitation, and reintegration into the community.
Assisting adolescents aged 16 to 17 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping them access essential services.Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:
A recognised social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
Proven experience working as a Social Worker within a statutory setting, preferably with adolescents facing complex challenges.
A sound understanding of relevant legislation and social work theories.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Resilience and the ability to work under pressure with empathy and sound judgment.
Proficiency in IT systems for case recording and report writing.
A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel is desirable.Benefits:
