We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular roleSalary: Up to £51,900 (dependent on skills and experience)What You’ll Be DoingDevelop IPMS Functional Specifications and liaise with the sub system owners to ensure the functional specifications work Support stakeholder engagement with internal and external customers Review supplier documentation on behalf of IPMS team to develop the functional specifications Support configuration management of Platform Management System Develop River Class Destroyer Controls & Instrumentation solution Support Sub System Leads and support delivery of all aspects of engineering deliverables Create & Maintain allocated IPMS Documentation as required by the project Identify, manage and mitigate product safety issues across the product/service area EssentialYour skills and experiences:Experience in an Engineering Functional Design discipline Experience of working on large, multi-layered projects in a multi-disciplinary, matrix management environment Knowledge of the engineering life cycle especially with regard to the achievement of project phase milestones. Understands the relationship between activities in different phases of the engineering lifecycle DesirableWorking knowledge of BAE Systems LCM processes & tools Experience of working on Defence projects Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) experience Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution. Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation.
