This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Backend Engineer keen to be part of a new project. It’s a SASS product in the retail space and will work with a modern evolving tech stack.

• You will work on Secure payment and financial systems in a Cloud/SaaS environment.

• Design, implement and test in-store payment and payment device interactions including credit/debit, gift cards, digital wallets, and more

• Work closely with wider business and contribute to the future roadmap.

• Ensure that functional and non-functional requirements (performance, security) are met


Skills:


• 5+ years of experience as a Backend developing server-side systems

• Deep understanding of TypeScript and experience building scalable backend systems using Node.js or other JavaScript/TypeScript-based frameworks.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and the ability to design services that leverage these environments.

• Good communication- must be able to deal with clients and work with remote teams

• Solid understanding of parallel and asynchronous programming,

• Experience in developing REST APIs and knowledge of scalable architectures

• Knowledge of document databases (MongoDB) and API interaction tools (such as Postman, or similar)
