EHS Manager will play a key role in leading the delivery of a high value Hyperscale Data centre construction project in Finland.
You can either be full time in Finland or based in country for 11 days and then return to the UK for 3 days,
EHS Manager:
· Provide direction and support for implementation of the EHS & Security Plan
· Verify that the project/site-specific EHS procedures protect personnel and the general public.
· Hold line management accountable for EHS Management System implementation and performance.
· Encourage the proactive involvement of all personnel in executing the EHS program.
· Verify that employees are aware of and understand their EHS responsibilities.
· Ensure appropriate skills training is provided to all PMC employees.
· Require the suitability of contractors to work safely on the project/site.
· Oversee EHS performance on the project/site.
· Review incident records and verify that all follow-up actions are completed in a timely manner.
· Ensure incidents where personal injuries occur or high potential severities are thoroughly and appropriately investigated and ensure closure of subsequent action items.
· Participate in audits and weekly planned inspections of the site and ensure closure of subsequent action items.
· Review proposals and approve the allocation of resources for practical and effective (client)  EHS initiatives.
EHS Coordinator:
· Monitor and report on the execution of the PMC EHS Management System at the project/site level.
· Coordinate orientation inductions and EHS training.
· Participate in any investigation relating to EHS issues.
· Verify that first-aid and emergency procedures are in place within a project/site.
· Manage and maintain the EHS-related records and documentation.
· Verify that SDSs are maintained.
· Attend EHS Committee meetings and consult with the Project/Site Manager(s) on EHS issues.
· Participate with the area supervisor in area inspections on a regular basis.
· Report all hazards to their supervisor or the Project/Site Manager.
· Inform personnel in the area of PMC EHS issues.
· Promote EHS education, awareness, and engagement. – e.g. STA / Toolbox meetings,
· Maintain and update EHS communications.
· Conduct unscheduled and scheduled inspections of work areas.
· Undertake regular inspections of the work area with the area supervisor.
· Coordinate the PMC EHS Committee.
· Coordinate thorough investigations of all incidents and prepare reports, as appropriate.
· Coordinate audits to eliminate conditions and work practices that are hazardous to the job.
· Review and monitor procedures.
· Encourage hazard identification and reporting by all project/site personnel
