Flavorist

Lime Talent are currently partnering with an Innovative Food & Beverage Business on an exciting new role, we are looking for a Flavorist to join the Global Flavors Development team. In this role you will be responsible for creating and developing new flavors, ensuring they meet market trends and consumer preferences. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of flavor science.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and formulate new flavors for a wide range of food and beverage products.
• Experiment with different ingredients and combinations to create unique and appealing flavors.
• Conduct sensory evaluations and consumer testing to refine flavor profiles.
• Stay updated with industry trends, consumer preferences, and emerging flavor profiles.
• Analyze market data to identify opportunities for new flavor development.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure flavors align with brand strategy and market demands.
• Utilize advanced flavor chemistry knowledge to create stable and reproducible flavors.
• Ensure all flavor formulations comply with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation of flavor formulations, processes, and testing results.
• Work closely with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure successful scale-up and commercialization of new flavors.
• Partner with procurement to source high-quality raw materials for flavor creation.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification in flavor chemistry is a plus.
• Ideally 5+ years of experience as a flavorist in the Food & Beverage industry.
• Proven track record of developing successful flavors and launching new products.
• Strong knowledge of flavor chemistry, ingredient functionality, and food processing technologies.
• Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to translate ideas into tangible flavors.
• Excellent sensory evaluation skills and attention to detail.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
