Position: Roofer's Labourer
Location: Exeter, Devon, EX9 6RX

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (with potential for overtime)

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Roofer's Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist experienced roofers in various tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the roofing industry and develop valuable skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist roofers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems, including shingles, tiles, slate, and flat roofs.
Load and unload materials, ensuring all tools and equipment are ready for use on the job site.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, removing debris and ensuring safety standards are upheld.
Safely operate hand and power tools under the supervision of experienced roofers.
Carry out general labour tasks such as mixing cement, carrying materials, and preparing surfaces for roofing work.
Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Communicate effectively with team members, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
Assist in the setup and dismantling of scaffolding and ladders.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the site supervisor or project manager.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction or roofing labour is preferred but not essential.
Basic knowledge of roofing materials and techniques is an advantage.
Physically fit and able to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform manual labour tasks.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Valid CSCS card is a plus.
Driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
