SEND Learning Support Assistant - Notting Hill/Bayswater, London
We are looking to appoint outstanding SEND Learning Support Assistants in Notting Hill/Bayswater, London with experience supporting SEND students. We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals who are hands on and can support students with SEND, particularly autism. The most important quality the school is looking for someone who is strong in the academic area and will be able to promote an inclusive learning environment. As an SEND LSA/Teaching Assistant , you will be expected to do the following:
Support pupils with ADHD, Autism and Complex Needs
Provide Personal Care and assist with Moving & Handling when necessary
Ensuring school rules are adhered to
Working with primary & secondary students with mixed abilities including SEND
Offering support and empathy to children requiring assistance
Reporting health and safety issues on-site to the maintenance team to resolve
Communicating effectively with teachers/children about any concerns or issues
Risk assessing the environment and responding accordingly
Observing behaviour, intervening, and addressing when necessary, reporting any safeguarding issues through the correct channels

SEND LSA - Job Responsibilities
Make sure that the pupils you support can engage in learning and stay on task during the lesson or activity
Support the social and emotional development of pupils, reporting any issues when required
Ensuring the child is supervised on a constant basis during school hours
Help the child to learn and engage during teaching periods
