Are you an experienced EC&I Technician with a strong background in electrical, control, and instrumentation systems? If so, we have an opportunity for you to join our team and support the Lead EC&I Engineer in maintaining all electrical, control, and instrumentation systems across our site.

Main Purpose:nAs an EC&I Technician, you will carry out both planned and reactive electrical, control, and instrumentation maintenance activities, adhering to the plant's safe systems of work. You will assist in delivering the Maintenance Team's KPIs and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility.

£47,112.71per annum (opportunity for overtime)

Key Responsibilities:nFault finding and rectifying problems on electrical, control, and instrumentation equipment.nBe responsible for PPM and Reactive maintenance work, ensuring the highest standards are set and maintained.nManage delegated plant area of the Site inclusive of planned outage work and PPMs.nEnsure all client requirements are met and satisfied.nAssist with and actively participate in planned outages.nCommunicate problems and concerns promptly through line management ensuring quick resolution.nComplete accurate maintenance reporting within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).nAssist the Lead EC&I Engineer with critical spares ordering.nParticipate in team briefings and toolbox talks.nWork safely and efficiently to the site safety rules, under a safe system of work.nEnsure compliance with appropriate Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental standards, policies, and procedures.nDevelop and implement engineering procedures, instructions, method statements, risk assessments, and guidance documents.

Person Requirements:nQualifications:nRecognised Electrical Engineering apprenticeship to NVQ or equivalent level 3nElectrical HNC – Desirable

Skills:nOutstanding attention to detailnExcellent problem-solving skillsnGood communicationnGood interpersonal skills

Experience:nCalibration of instrumentation (Level, Temperature, Pressure, Flow, etc.)nFault finding and rectifying problems on DCS, SCADA, and PLC’s.nControl panels and wiring standards.nMotors / Switchgear cubicles.nVariable speed drives (VSD’s).nCircuit breakers / Electrical transformers.nAwareness of High Voltage equipmentnAbility to read and work from EC&I drawings/documents.nExperience/knowledge of safe systems of work including permit to work, method statements, and risk assessments.nExperience working in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure and working to tight timescales.
