Senior Finance Officer

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Finance Officer / Finance Manager to work for our client in Leicester and initially this is a 6 month role although could be extended,
Our client is based in the City Centre and is a non profit , you will have the flexibility on hours and our client can offer you a hybrid role should you prefer, as the Senior Finance Officer / Finance Manager you will report directly into the CEO and manage another team member
As the Senior Finance Officer / Finance Manager you will be working with the Operations Manager and Treasurer as appropriate to provide the following:
Financial reporting:
Preparing timely and accurate reporting of monthly management accounts to the Board and CEO as appropriate, investigating variances, correcting errors where necessary and with the support of the CEO, provide explanations on departures from budget
Ensure the provision of financial monitoring information required by our partners is provided on time and as requested.
Arrears: run regular reports on loan interest
Prepare financial reports such as trial balances, annual and quarterly accounts for submission to funding and regulatory bodie
Month, quarter and year end procedures
Calculate all report provisions
Financial controls:
Managing cash flow and liquidity and managing investments.
Maintaining and monitoring purchase ledger, ensuring invoices are paid on a timely basis and in line with budget and cash flow requirements
Oversee and assist with completion of financial performance analysis and budgeting including reporting in full to the Board as required.
Manage the provision of the year-end accounts and liaise with the Auditor/Accountant and their team to ensure that all information requested by them is provided in a timely manner.
Daily, month, quarter and year end processes and procedures
