Location: Lancaster
Job Overview
Beaumont College is a very special place. We provide highly personalised pathways for special school leavers, and we support them in the journey to become adults, and to live independent and fulfilling lives as far as possible.
Strategically, we are committed to support the demand for specialist provision for special school leavers with complex autism and ADHD. Although we have always offered places to students, our vision going forwards to to dedicate a low arousal space for learners to begin their journey to adulthood, and engage with the wider student population when they are ready, in a well-supported and planned - highly personalised - way.
We are seeking an educational manager to deliver this vision with confidence and ambition for some of the most complex special school leavers in the region, and beyond. You will have empathy and understanding for our learners, you will work with confidence and transparency with their parents and carers - but most of all you will see, and support the students on your pathway to realise their potential and be better prepared for adulthood.
You must be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure all learners have equal opportunities to develop the skills required to prepare them for adulthood. To demonstrate measurable progress and achievement through targeted recording and report writing which evidence progress against set EHCP (Education Health and Care Plan) outcomes. The College employs nurses, a wide range of therapists and has a positive behaviour’s ethos.
Our students enjoy learning and they love our college, so we do have a lot to smile about. We are a close knit team and would welcome new colleagues to be part of this enabling, empowering and equipping world of supporting students to fulfil their potential
