What’s the opportunity?

We're excited to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join our Bradford team at Hovis. Our goal is to be the best quality brand in the bakery industry, and your role will be instrumental in achieving this vision. As an HR Manager, you'll help us develop HR plans that align with our business strategy, ensuring we maximise our capabilities and resources while keeping quality at the forefront of all our endeavours.

What will you be doing?

Championing HR excellence and streamlining processes for efficiency.nImplementing the people strategy to foster best practices and support business goals, with a focus on maintaining consistency and providing value-added support across all HR functions, including Employee Relations.nPromoting collaborative work practices to drive continuous improvement throughout HR operations.nSimplifying approaches to enable effective focus on achieving business objectives.nSupporting central and support programs to achieve top-tier performance.nIdentifying and addressing key challenges faced by the business by aligning HR initiatives to deliver effective solutions.nOverseeing the management of the Hovis Apprenticeship program.

The ideal candidate will be one that is passionate not only about the work they do but the brand they work for, takes ownership for what they do and is able to influence multiple stakeholders in the right way. They will also be able to focus individuals on specific tasks and behaviours, by bringing a positive, encouraging and consistent behaviour and is able to create a compelling story for the future as well as role model the Hovis Leadership Standards.

What are ‘must haves’ from you?

Experience in FMCG – ideally manufacturing and foodnTest employee relations experiencenDelivery of change management programmesnExperience in TU negotiations – pay awards and T&C reviewsnStrong knowledge of employment lawnPerformance management techniquesnResourcing experience at all levelsnStrong communication and interpersonal skills – ability to influence and persuadenResults oriented, resilient and highly motivated
