The Client:
Our client is a reputable accountancy firm, providing a complete spectrum of business and advisory services to its clientele.
The Role:
As a Payroll Senior, you will manage a portfolio of payroll clients from start to finish, including various workplace pension schemes.
Responsibilities:
Handling advanced payroll tasks, such as setting up pension schemes, closing PAYE schemes, and conducting payroll analysis.
Processing BACs payments for clients.
Communicating with HM Revenue & Customs.
Liaising with managers, team members, and clients for payroll inquiries and reporting.
Addressing employee queries and maintaining client relationships.
Maintaining department files, records, and databases.
Handling ad hoc queries and tasks on spreadsheets / documents for analysis.
Assisting managers and team members with organisational tasks.
Providing training for payroll administrators as needed.
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a similar role.
Background working in a payroll bureau environment.
Experience using Sage 50 payroll.
Math and English GCSE A-C or equivalent.
Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
CIPP qualifications would be beneficial.
