We are looking for candidates to work for our client based in Hixon, Staffordshire. Our client specializes in the production of secondary aluminium ingot providing high specification aluminium for the automotive/white goods industry. This is a temp to perm role once you complete 3 months probation you will have a permanent contract.
Role
The position of Foundry Operative is required to assist the Foundry Supervisor with the process of melting secondary aluminium scrap and dross to produce high quality specification ingot, the ideal candidate will report to their supervisor primarily and the foundry manager.
Responsibilities
· Plant operation.
· Furnace loading.
· Material management.
· Lab testing.
· Housekeeping.
Skills Required
· Counterbalance flt license.
· Computer literate.
· Problem solver.
· Team worker.
· Ability to follow procedures.
· Good numeracy and literacy skills.
· Environmentally aware.
Ability to complete low level maintenance.
Shift times are :
6am -6pm
AND
6pm - 6am
Person must be flexible and able to work days and nights.
Shift Pattern:
4 on 3 off working days will be between Monday to Friday
Hourly rate:
£14.10 increasing to £16.10 once all training is complete
