The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Year 3 team. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality support to our students, helping to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year 3 students.
Provide individual and group support to students, ensuring they are fully engaged and able to access the curriculum.
Help manage classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.
Support the social and emotional development of students, offering guidance and encouragement.
Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and resources.
Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and other school activities.
Help with the assessment and recording of student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
Participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities as required.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within a primary or pre-prep school setting.
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable.
