Microbiology Team Leader

CK Group are recruiting for an experienced Microbiology Manager on behalf of a growing Cell Therapy CDMO, to be based at their site in Cambridge on a permanent basis.
The Role:
To oversee the company's microbiology activities and ensure effective contamination controls are in place within the manufacturing facilities. This role will require working within the laboratory, performing microbiology testing and supporting/ training junior scientists.
Responsibilities:
To be main point of contact for clients supporting any outsourced microbiology testing.
To grow the microbiology team and support implementation of additional clean rooms and laboratories, as well as attracting further clients.
Lead environmental monitoring (EM) of cleanrooms, personnel monitoring, raw material testing, product sterility assurance, product release testing and stability.
Your Background:
Degree qualified (MSc, PhD) plus industry experience within a microbiology field.
Extensive experience of GMP and QC, within a customer facing position.
Experience of working with rapid microbiology methodology and ATMPs.
Line management experience.
