September 2024Connaught Education is working in partnership with one of the foremost independent senior and sixth form schools in London to appoint a Head of Physics on a permanent basis as of September 2024.
The organisation in question is a prestigious and highly successful coeducational day and boarding school which throughout its' rich history has been the recipient of multiple awards. Situated in the heart of London this is a diverse, international school with pupils from across the world, it is part of a group of three high calibre independent colleges across the UK.
The Physics department is a successful one, it has academic rigour and its results at both Key Stage 4 and 5 are year on year amongst the best in the country. The appointed Head of Physics will have some of the following duties:
Leadership and management of the department of Physics.
Working with the other Heads of Department and Vice Principal (Academic) in order to ensure that the highest academic, professional and ethical standards are maintained at all times.
Raising standards of student attainment within the department, developing and enhancing the teaching practice of others.
Supporting academic staff across the school in using innovative technology in the classroom.The successful Head of Physics will have a good degree in a relevant subject area and ideally QTS as well as a demonstrable track record of excellent exam results.
