Tradewind Recruitment is working with a Church of England school in North London which is seeking a Behaviour Mentor for an immediate start.

Located in Enfield, North London, the school is a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive community. This is a Church of England secondary school, which welcomes candidates from all communities and backgrounds. The school provides a supportive environment where every student is able to thrive. The school is seeking a hard-working and motivated Behaviour Mentor to join the team and work closely with students who need extra support, helping them succeed academically and personally.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students facing behavioural challenges, helping develop positive attitudes and behaviours.
Engage with teachers, parents, and external professionals to create and implement personalised behaviour support plans.
Act as a positive role model, building strong, trusting relationships with students and promoting self-esteem, resilience, and self-discipline.
Monitor and record student progress using "SIMS" system, sharing feedback with teachers and senior staff to help shape future strategies.
Support the development of students' social and emotional skills, helping them navigate challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive school culture that fosters respect, cooperation, and understanding among all students.
Experience:
Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural or emotional challenges, is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with students.
A calm, patient, and non-judgmental approach, able to remain composed in challenging situations.
A proactive, flexible attitude, ready to take on various tasks to support student success.
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management, psychology, or related fields are a plus but not essential.
