ABOUT YOU
As Head of Ecommerce, you will manage a team of people to ensure our website reaches its full potential. You will have a head for numbers, an eye for detail, as well as an understanding and appreciation for the more creative elements of online retail. Decision making will be based on data and insights, and experience around CRO is a must. You will not only be leading your own small team but working more widely across the business to ensure that our trading plans are delivered. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and always strive to achieve the best resultsnMain Duties and ResponsibilitiesnDefine the online trading and on-site merchandising strategy to maximise revenue/profitability and deliver best in class customer experience.nAccountable for the overall trading performance (revenue and profit) of our website.nOversee our UX and CRO agencies to ensure we’re doing all we can to convert the traffic we receive.nDefine and deliver the on-site merchandising strategy in line with the trading plan, ensuring the right products are featured at the right time and place to maximise revenue/profitability AND deliver the best possible customer experiencenOversee regular site audits and testing, ensuring all products, pricing & promotions are executed correctlynWork alongside your counterparts across B&M and Marketing teams and finance, feed into the Promotional Calendar for the year and hold responsibility for the creation and management of the Trading Plan which should align to the Promotional CalendarnOwnership of website KPIs (Conversion Rate, Bounce Rate, Average Order Value etc) and responsible for the regular reporting of the website (s) trading performance, providing detailed analysis of key business metrics and clear actions where requirednUse analytical tools to provide insights and identify areas of opportunity and drive performance and implement accordinglynProvide solutions and action plans in response to any trends or issues found when performing data analysis as well as suggesting areas for further analysis by the Data and FP&A team.nContinually look for ways to drive AOV, IPO and other core trading metrics.nManage a team of amazing ecommerce professionals and facilitate their growth through the business.nStrategise and suggest ways the marketing team can utilise the site to drive initiatives and support the teams proactively.nProduce trading and ecommerce reports with clear recommendations and actions.nWork with our marketing teams and partners to obsess over SEO and can ensure technical recommendations are actioned in a timely manner.nKeep a keen eye on our competitors and market trends.nAttend board and senior management meetings.
Skills & Knowledge:n5+ years within ecommerce or trading with 2-3 of those in a senior role.nTrack record growing eCommerce businessesnCommercially savvy, forward-thinking, incredibly pro-active and have the agility to be re-active where necessarynStrong online trading and merchandising experiencenStrong communication and organisational skills are a mustnStrong attention to detailnExperience of managing a small teamnStrong competency with GA4 and internal data warehouses to analyse and build reports on the website performancenUnderstanding and awareness of marketing practicesnExtensive knowledge of Magento2nProven track record of growth with a performance driven mindset.nAnalytical/great with numbers and can interpret data to drive actionable insights.nExperience motivating and managing a team of ecommerce professionals.nNaturally inquisitive and a passion for great user experiencenDigital marketing knowledge, particularly around SEO and content marketing.nPersonable and a team player.
