Position: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Industry: Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
Location: Yate
Salary: £50,300 per annum
Shift Pattern:
* Rotating 12-hour shift pattern (days and nights)
* 3 days on, 3 off, 3 nights, 3 off, 3 days on, 3 off, 3 nights on, 8-day break
* Short break at Christmas
* Overtime available but not mandatory, with opportunities to earn well
* 18 days holiday
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment.
* Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
* Implement and oversee maintenance schedules, ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
* Collaborate with the production team to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
* Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving to resolve production interruptions promptly.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Work with external contractors as necessary, overseeing their work to ensure it meets company standards.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
* Ensure spare parts inventory is adequately stocked and managed.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer in the FMCG industry.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
* Relevant qualifications in engineering or maintenance (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
Benefits:
