In this role, you will develop production schedules in an accurate manner, ensuring that customer and factory requirements are met whilst ensuring raw material availability.
Main Responsibilities;
* Always operate in a food safe manner, working appropriate PPE and in accordance with Factory Standards
* Adhere and maintain all housekeeping standards to ensure a food safe working environment
* Advocate a food safety culture based on the principles of knowledge, capability and attitude
* Adhere to all quality procedures to make a food safe product to manufacturing specification
* Identify food safety or product quality issues and help solve any immediate problems
* Report issues to your line manager, in a timely manner
* Complete all tasks in accordance with relevant SOPs and Work Instructions
Main Role Objectives;
* Develop a robust production plan / schedule including production output and scheduling of monitoring, reviewing and amending
* Work closely with the production manager/ senior planner to establish and review Key Performance Indicators on a weekly basis, across the Supply Chain
* Weekly / Daily Raw Material Call Off working closely with the Goods In Team
* Ensure delivery of goods, raw materials and packaging are completed in a timely manner using procurement procedures
* Ensure that inventory is maintained at an optimum level, whilst minimising shortages / obsolete stock
* Work with the Senior Planner to analyse Sales Forecast across the business and work with Commercial Account Managers/ Demand Planner to optimise Forecast accuracy
* Perform other duties as assigned and required from time to time
* Assist with OTIF KPI of 98.5% and Master Schedule attainment KPI of 90%
You will also be required to cover for the senior planner where necessary and as required
Key Performance Measures;
* Master Schedule Attainment at 92%
* OTIF Target of 98.5%
* Rae Material Availability
Personal competencies and qualifications;
* Data analysis and numeric skills with the ability to evaluate, analyse and present data
* Practical and proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement
* Strong work ethic, perseverance and flexibility
* Organised and able to react to the challenge of a fast-moving environment
* Excellent communication, both written and verbal
* Ability to build effective relationship in a cross-functional team environment
* Proficient in working with MRP Systems
* Computer Literate in Microsoft Office
