Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced JIB Gold Card Electrician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will hold a JIB Gold Card, have completed the 18th Edition wiring regulations, possess the 2391 qualification in Inspection & Testing, and have successfully completed the AM2 assessment. This role involves working on a variety of projects, ensuring all electrical work is carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with BS7671 regulations.
* Perform inspection and testing of electrical installations, ensuring compliance with the 18th Edition regulations.
* Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and effectively.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and other trades to ensure successful project completion.
* Keep accurate records of all work carried out and provide detailed reports when required.
* Stay up to date with the latest industry standards and technological advancements.
Requirements:
* Valid JIB Gold Card.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
* City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent qualification in Inspection & Testing.
* AM2 assessment completed.
* Proven experience in a similar role within the electrical contracting industry.
* Strong knowledge of BS7671 regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Full UK driving license.
Desirable:
* Experience with renewable energy systems (e.g., solar PV, EV charging points).
* Additional relevant qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering).
