Job PurposenThe Technical Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring excellence within our Volume Motor Team. Working closely with the Business Unit Director and team leaders, you’ll drive efficient processes and policies while embedding best practices in file handling. Your focus will be on technical guidance, team development, and achieving client service level agreements (SLAs).

Key AccountabilitiesnTechnical Guidance :nProvide a technical forum for fee earners, offering guidance on MOJ, Small claims, and Fast Track matters up to £25k.nBe the go-to resource for any technical queries, ensuring accurate and informed decisions.

Supervision and Development :nOversee 4-5 heads within your span of control, following the relevant competency framework.nMaintain meticulous technical development records for each team member.nAssist Team Leaders with technical supervision for cases above £15k.

Performance Reviews :nConduct regular 6-12 week reviews for small claim and fast track files.nProvide face-to-face technical feedback and guidance during these reviews.nUndertake Pre Trial reviews at least 10 weeks before trial or disposal.

Quality Assurance :nCollaborate on pre-audit assessments for files selected for external client audits.nParticipate in internal auditing processes as needed.

Training and Feedback :nIdentify training needs and communicate them to Team Leaders, the Business Unit Director (BUD), and the Technical Manager.nSupport new starters within your span of control, ensuring they achieve a £5k financial authority within their first 6 months.

Performance Improvement :nManage individuals on performance improvement plans related to technical competency.nProvide ongoing feedback to the BUD and Technical Manager, suggesting areas for improvement.

Working Hoursn35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm (with an unpaid hour for lunch).nLocationnPrimary location: Bolton office
