Based in Edinburgh, you will join a talented, motivated, and dynamic team responsible for developing Regulatory Reporting solutions within the Avaloq Core Platform. Our team sits at the heart of our Avaloq Core Platform division, focusing on maintaining and enhancing Avaloq's core software and products.
As a part of our Regulatory Reporting Team, you will collaborate closely with a small, agile group of Software Engineers and Business Analysts to deliver high-quality solutions that support both our existing and new clients.
What You Will Do
- Analyse and resolve customer issues while gathering new requirements to enhance your knowledge of both the technical and functional aspects of the system.
- Collaborate closely with customers to develop solutions that meet evolving regulatory demands.
- Lead the design and development of new features for our Regulatory Reporting modules, guiding them from inception to production with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
- Solve complex, large-scale problems and develop high-performance solutions.
- Maintain and improve existing functionality by addressing defects and enhancing system performance.
- Actively contribute to the team’s technical direction by participating in solution design and development discussions.
- Ensure the high quality of our software through rigorous code reviews and automated testing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think abstractly and solve complex technical issues.
- Solid software engineering skills, with a deep understanding of relational databases and software development processes and best practices.
- A strong team player who is willing to support and collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals.
- A proactive, well-organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented individual with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
It would be a real bonus if you have
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
- Proficiency in other European languages (e.g., French or German) is an advantage but not essential.
