We are looking for a for a Programme Manager (SC Cleared) on a 12 Month contract based in Bristol on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Purpose of the Role:

The Programme Manager will lead a multi-project programme of work associated with the enablement of capability for International Defence enablement. Working collaboratively with the Portfolio Lead, and other Programme/Project Managers, Business Stakeholders, IT vendors, Solution Architects, and the Portfolio Senior Leadership to ensure successful programme/project delivery for cost, schedule, scope and benefits.

As a Programme Manager (SC Clearance) you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a Programme Schedule - Updating regularly and reporting progress to the PMO, and other senior stakeholders.
  • Leading a small team of Project Managers to ensure their project deliverables are in line with the overall programme delivery schedule.
  • Providing regular updates on progress and manage escalations.
  • Ensuring your programme is appropriately represented in the Portfolio planning and reporting.
  • Providing Financial data on a weekly basis to track progress of the programme, and help drive funding discussions to ensure budget is obtained as required with the projects in the programme.
  • Providing project oversight identifying gaps and facilitating effective communication channels and escalation paths for project managers, solution architects and senior stakeholders.
  • Participate in regular resourcing meetings, to balance the demand for resource across the programme, and other programmes in the portfolio.
  • Ensuring the project remains compliant with the Rolls-Royce Governance and Delivery process.
  • Backfilling for project managers within the programme as appropriate.
  • Driving the vendor(s) to deliver on their schedule on a daily basis, managing partner/supplier RFQ/SOWs.

What we require from the candidate:

  • To be already holding or have eligibility and no known blockers to Active SC Clearance .
  • Financial management and commercial awareness.
  • Vendor management and procurement expertise.
  • Team management, communications skills.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects within a programme.
