Our client is an exciting, innovative, and continuously growing within the food manufacturing industry, committed to creating high-quality, unique products that stand out in the market.
They are looking for a NPD Technologist that is eager to be a part of a great business where innovation is key.
Key Responsibilities:
* Have direct input into all aspects of product development process from ideation, recipe, format development, customer presentation and approval through to launch.
* Developing new and innovative recipes and formats, producing samples in the development kitchen, organising taste panels, redeveloping where required and submitting to the customer
* Cross-collaborate with all areas of the business to ensure innovative concepts are ready for launch technically, commercially and operationally.
* Maintain regular communication with retail customers and ingredient suppliers.
* Analysing customer briefs, identifying development opportunities and SKU gaps.
* Liaising with new and existing ingredient suppliers, ordering samples and gathering the required commercial and technical information for example: quotes, MOQ’s and specifications. As well as keeping up to date with new ingredient offerings
* Work with the Purchasing Manager during ingredient tenders, creating comparative samples using new vs existing ingredients and organising blind taste panels to review with the wider team
Key Skills:
* A highly motivated and creative individual with a strong interest in food trends.
* Good understanding of product development processes within the food manufacturing industry.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, manage development projects and be able to work in cross functional teams.
* Good presentation skills for new products to customers.
* Food Degree or STEM Degree.
* Driving License and UK right to work required.
Package:
Up to £33k + Company pension scheme, Healthcare, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, employer pension contribution up to 6%, 8% personal bonus
