Business Development Manager – Data Centres

We are looking for an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager to lead our client's efforts in expanding sales within the Data Centre sector.
As part of a reputable and innovative lighting brand, you will be at the forefront of creating and applying effective strategies to drive sustainable growth and establish long lasting client relationships.
The Role:
As a key player in the UK Sales team, you will focus on selling high-quality lighting solutions to data centres. You will be responsible for identifying key prospects, managing multi-site project rollouts, and leading tender bids.
The goal is to establish strong partnerships with consultants, contractors, and major data centre operators.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop relationships and initiatives to increase sales within the Data Centre market.
* Lead large tender bids and multi-site rollouts for major projects.
* Account manage key clients, offering tailored lighting solutions for their data centres.
* Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to customize solutions that meet specific client needs.
* Provide accurate project forecasting and ensure timely follow-ups with clients.
About You:
* Proven experience in business development within Data Centres or other large-scale infrastructure sectors.
* Strong understanding of the latest lighting technologies and energy-saving initiatives.
* Experience using lighting design software (e.g., Dialux, Relux) is desirable to craft effective solutions.
* Ability to cold call, generate new leads, and maintain relationships at a senior level.
* Strong project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
