Design Engineer – Mechanical Pump Projects
A prominent provider of innovative pumping solutions, recognized for its expertise in handling challenging materials, is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Castleford team. This role involves taking charge of pump projects from initial concept through to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design mechanical products and pump assemblies for diverse applications.
* Manage projects from order receipt to customer delivery, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
* Work closely with internal teams and clients, offering technical support as needed.
* Utilize CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) to produce precise drawings and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the EMIR system.
Ideal Candidate:
* At least 5 years of experience in Mechanical Design, with a strong preference for those with pump industry experience.
* Proficient in CAD and 3D modeling, with experience in ERP systems.
* Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and control costs.
What’s Offered:
* A competitive salary of £35k-£42k, depending on experience.
* 37.5-hour work week, with an early finish on Fridays.
* 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
* Statutory pension with potential for a 6% company match.
* Discretionary bonus.
