Role Description
An Electrical Engineer is required to join a Small Vehicle Systems company in the East Midlands. The Electrical Engineer will support the UK Electrical Engineering team with specific projects, helping to shape the future of the organisations products. The Electrical Engineer role is to support the electrical systems and components development and testing activities. The Electrical Engineer will be working with different teams including: Product Development, Program Management Quality Assurance and Strategic Sourcing/Procurement  depts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Represent the electrical design team and PD departmental meetings
Technical and testing support for electrical systems components on development programmes
Understand and preparation of Electrical Systems layout & schematic circuits
Design and implement electrical systems/ components for new and updated vehicles
Preparation of 2D engineering drawings for electrical components
Understand and preparation of 3D CAD models to derive packaging for electrical components
Follow up and maintain design, operational and quality procedures
Produce supporting documentation and packaging layouts for electrical systems as required
Liaise with internal departments such as Development, Testing, Manufacturing and Quality
Liaise with outside suppliers as required.
 Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
A Degree within Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Experience in relevant engineering field and knowledge in electrical testing
Knowledge of Electrical circuits & Electronics, Engineering Documentation
Some experience with IOT and Failure Analysis
Experience in Electrical components validation
Experience in Failure simulation and root cause analysis
Experience with electrical test rigs and instrumentation
Small vehicle electrical testing experience - Preferable
Good teamwork and communication skills
