We are working with an innovative and growing fintech in London who are on the hunt for an experienced KYC Manager to have oversight of and support the KYC/Onboarding team To be successful in this role, you will have experience of managing a team, be highly knowledgeable on KYC processes and procedures, and have lots of experience undertaking UK client onboarding


Responsibilities:

  • Handle escalations from the KYC/Onboarding team, providing advice and guidance around how to follow regulation and align with best practices
  • Manage the overall KYC process including; processing client cases and acting as the SME within the KYC/Onboarding team
  • Support the wider team with completing file reviews including KYC, account opening documentation, administration
  • Sign off on low and medium risk accounts, conducting periodic reviews
  • Co-ordinate and work closely with key stakeholders including the Head of Compliance/MLRO to develop and improve the KYC framework
  • Ensure that appropriate client documentation is issued to new customers in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate quality assurance feedback meetings with the relevant teams
  • Support with the implementation of regulatory and operational changes in the department
  • Train and develop the team, including performance management
  • Strive for consistent improvement - ensuring the teams processes and procedures are streamlined and effective


Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience in a KYC/AML role within a fintech or financial services business
  • Knowledgeable on FCA regulation and onboarding best practices
  • Experience of team management - able to motivate, inspire, train and develop employees
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail - you notice the little things and constantly strive to improve processes and get the best out of your team
  • Flexible approach - you enjoy every day being a little different
