Role Overview
As a Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of the successful delivery of water infrastructure projects under the United Utilities Water Frameworks. You will oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, oversee execution, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Ensure clear communication and alignment with project goals.
Quality and Safety Assurance: Monitor and enforce quality and safety standards onsite. Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks. Develop contingency plans to address potential issues.
Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, manage expenditures, and ensure financial targets are met.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports, including financial and operational status, to senior management and stakeholders.
Problem Solving: Resolve technical and operational issues that arise during the project lifecycle, ensuring timely and effective solutions. Qualifications and Experience
Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the water infrastructure sector or a similar industry.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. Proficiency in project management software.
Certifications: Valid CSCS card. PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
Personal Attributes: Excellent leadership and communication skills. Strong organisational and problem solving abilities.
