Key Responsibilities:
Manage all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures.
Seek to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money while still achieving the required standards and quality.
NEC Forms of Contract - dealings with the Main / Principle Contractor.
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with architects and/or the client.
Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
Perform risk, value management, and cost control during construction.
Advise on procurement strategy and identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks.
Allocate work to subcontractors and oversee their work at all stages of the construction.
Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
Value completed work and arrange payments.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction engineering, management, or a related field.
Proven experience in civil engineering and railway projects is highly desirable.Skills:
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
NEC Forms of Contract knowledge
Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office.
Knowledge of construction, contract law, and regulations.Benefits:
