Responsibilities
- System Administration : Manage access control, software revisions, backups, and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems.
- Functional Specifications Review : Evaluate hardware and software specs for new automated equipment (utility, process, filling, packaging, and inspection).
- Electrical Control Systems : Read and understand control system diagrams, red-line them to reflect as-built conditions.
- Qualification and Compliance : Perform IQ/OQ/PQ on installed systems, ensuring compliance with regulations (21 CFR Part 11, cGMP).
- Vendor Interaction : Define user requirements, review vendor automation design documentation, and support engineering.
- Technical Expertise : Understand complex ladder logic, PLC-based controllers, and troubleshoot low-voltage wiring.
- Risk Assessment : Prepare risk assessments for automated systems.
- Change Controls : Manage changes to control systems.
- Supervision : Oversee junior engineers, contractors, and maintenance staff.
